Lady Mustangs lose to Livonia

The Penn Yan Mustang Girl’s Basketball team dropped a 53-40 decision to the number three seed Livonia Bulldogs on Thursday night in Livonia. 

The night started out with a lot of hope for the number six Lady Mustangs as the jumped out to a 18-6 first quarter lead.  But the home team Bulldogs chipped away at the lead and eventually pulled away in the final quarter. 

Livonia outscored Penn Yan 21-9 in the final stanza.  Kate Disbrow was Penn Yan’s top scorer with 14 points. 

The Lady Mustang’s 2007-8 season ends with a 9-13 record.
