Lady Scots eliminated from Class C tournament by 55-35 loss to Keshequa

The Dundee Lady Scots Basketball team was defeated by the number two seed Keshequa team on Saturday evening 55-35. The loss ended the Lady Scots 2007-8 season.

Dundee fell behind 28-23 at the half and could not recover.  Keshequa outscored the visiting Dundee girls 27-12 to pull away and secure a trip to the Class C finals. 

Nikki Muoio scored 11 points to lead the Lady Scots in scoring.  Casi Strait added 10 points and Sami Clingerman eight points.

The Dundee girls reached this semi-final game by defeating the #6 seed Clyde Savannah Golden Eagles 58-50 on Wednesday night in Dundee.  The Scots held a slim 24-21 lead at the half but eventually pulled away outscoring the visitors 34-29 in the second half. 

Nikki Muoio had a huge night from the floor, scoring 22 points including five 3-pointers. 

She also grabbed nine rebounds and dished out three assists. 

Casi Strait contributed 14 points in the win.

Casi Strait took a throw-in at center court and was unchallenged as she dribbled to the basket for this lay up.
