Scots defeat Romulus, South Seneca; PY falls to Pal-Mac

Dundee defeated Romulus 114-20 and South Seneca 86-46 but lost to Geneva 83-52 in Geneva on Tuesday afternoon.  Steven Webb won the 100, Ryan Ballard the 400, Stephen Ringsmith the 800 and 1600. 

Michael Tortolon picked up fist place finishes in the shot put and discus.  Mason Brown won the triple jump.  On the girl's side, Geneva defeated Dundee 85-47.  Colleen Fiorella won the long jump event.

PENN YAN 56, 38

PAL-MAC 85, 93

The Penn Yan Mustang Track and field teams dropped decisions to Pal/Mac in both the boy's and girls meets on Tuesday afternoon in Penn Yan. 

The Mustang Boys team lost to Pal-Mac 85-56. 

Double winners for Penn Yan included Isaac Davis in the shut put ( 34'1.5") and discus ( 110' 5.5").  Jordan Merritt won the 1600 and 3200.  The Mustang Girls team lost to Pal-Mac 93-38.  Heather Creary took first place in the 100 and 200 events.  the 4 x 100 relay team of Creary, Rachel Colaneri, Hannah Zelanzy, and Courtney Volz also took first place.

Both PYA teams also attended an elite meet at HFL on Friday competing against HFL, Fairport, and Pavillion.  Jordan Merritt took first place in the 1600 and Lyman Beecher second place in the steeplechase. On the girl's side, the Lady Mustangs collected many personal bests but no first place finishes.



In other local track and field meets, the Marcus Whitman Boy's team defeated Mynderse 89-52.  Nate Francisco won the 100 and 200.  Patrick Clark the 400, Justin Bates the 800, Scott Longyear the long and triple jump, and Jimmy Spoor the pole vault.  Whitman also swept the team relay races.

The Marcus Whitman Girl's team lost to Mynderse 72-69. 

Amy Slenz won the 100 and 200 races.  Chelsea Bloom the 400 and long jump, Casey Gilbert the triple jump and pole vault and Heather Beasley the 800.
