Penn Yan girls gain split for the week

The Penn Yan Mustang Softball team defeated Pal-Mac 9-2 in Penn Yan on Wednesday afternoon.
Coach Marty Kubli's charges plated 5 runs in the first inning and never looked back.
Amanda Lanphear picked up the win for the Lady Mustangs holding the Red Raiders to just 2 runs. Jessica Theismeyer went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs.
Christine Mosich had 2 hits in 4 plate appearances including a triple. Penn Yan collected nine hits total in the win. The victory improved Penn Yan's Finger Lakes East D-II record to 6-6. They are 14-10 overall.

The Lady Scots pounded out a season high 12 hits. Nikki Muoio went 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBIs. Sami Freeland also drove in 2 runs with 2 hits for Dundee (2-13, 2-14).

The Marcus Whitman Wildcat Softball team split a doubleheader with Harley Allendale Columbia in a non-league matchup on Friday. The Lady Wildcats knocked off the Wolves 6-1 in the second game.
MacKenzie Green tossed a 4 hitter, striking out 3. Morgan Rohring delivered 2 triples to ignite the Wildcat offense. Brittany Ross scored twice for Whitman.
HAC captured the first game 11-1.
