Lady Mustangs continue to tally wins

The Penn Yan Mustang girls softball team defeated Midlakes 6-1 on Wednesday in Penn Yan.

Amanda Mosich tossed the complete game win. She also clubbed a fourth inning homerun to help her own cause.

Elly Disbrow and Christine Mosich contribued doubles in the win for the Mustangs (16-8, 8-5).

Mynderse 5

Earlier in the week, the Lady Mustangs defeated Mynderse 7-5 in Seneca Falls. Elly Disbrow, Kate Disbrow, and Megan Foster had two hits each for Penn Yan. Amanda Mosich tossed a 6 hitter for the win.

Marcus Whitman 3

Honeoye 5

In other local high school Softball action, the Marcus Whitman girls softball team lost to Honeoye 5-3 on Monday afternoon. MacKenzie Green and Kaitlyn Gnage had two base hits for the Wildcats.

Romulus 3

On Wednesday, the Lady Wildcats defeated Romulus 18-3 in 5 innings at home.

Ali Phalen and Brittney Russ had three hits and scored three runs each in the big win.

Naples 4

The Wildcast dropped a 4-2 decision to the Big Green of Naples on Friday in Naples. Kaitlyn Gnage tripled and singles for Whitman. She also scored two runs. Morgan Rohring went 2-for-3.

DeSales 7

The Lady Wildcats completed their regular season on Saturday in Geneva. DeSales handed Whitman a 7-1 loss. Aly Phalen had two hits and drove in the only Wildcat run. Marcus Whitman’s regular season ended with a 10-12 record.

Red Jacket 9

Dundee 2

The Dundee Lady Scots lost to Red Jacket 9-2 at home in their final regular season game. Nikke Muoio had a triple and a double for Dundee (3-15, 3-13). Lindsay Wood also had two hits for Dundee.
