Lady Mustang keglers sweep Lyons and Wayne teams

The Penn Yan girls bowling team registered two shutout wins over Lyons and Wayne last week. 

On Monday afternoon at Doug Kent's Newark Lanes, Penn Yan whitewashed Lyons 4-0.  Brendaya Parsons rolled a 510 series (202).  Teammate Shelby Button was one pin behind with a 509 series (184).  Jacquie Stryker added a 178 single game. 

On Wednesday afternoon in Webster, the Mustang girls shutout Wayne 4-0. Brooke Parsons rolled a 460 series (185) to lead the Orange and Blue (18-6, 14-6) to the victory. Brendaya Parsons added a 458 series.

The Mustang boy's team split their two matches last week. 

On Monday in Newark, Penn Yan defeated Lyons 3-1.  Dan Fox bowled a 707 series (244-247-216) to lead the Mustangs.  Chris Rossman scored a 623 series ( 216-215).  Ryan Johnson added a 212 single game.

The Mustangs were knocked out of first place on Wednesday with a 3-1 loss to Wayne in Webster.

The Mustangs ( 19-5,16-4) were led by Chris Rossman's 585 series (205-201).  Dan Fox and Ryan Johnson added single games of 209 and 207 respectively. 

In other high school bowling action, the Dundee Scot boys bowling team solidified their hold on first place in the Finger Lakes West (19-1) with a 4-0 shutout win over South Seneca at the Family Fun Center in Dundee on Thursday afternoon. 

Devon Miller rolled a 646 series (249-204) to lead the Scotsmen keglers. 

Bryon Case added a 205 and Alex Sullivan a 200 single game.

On the girl's side, Dundee also whitewashed South Seneca 4-0. 

Mary Rainis rolled a 461 series (175) to lead Dundee ( 15-4-1).
