Dundee Scots down DeSales Saints 53-43

Dundee’s #4 Blaine Moore and DeSales #24 Taylor Jinks collide while bringing the ball up court, and in the process fall into a Scotsmen cheerleader.

The Dundee Scot Hardwood Quintet defeated the Saints from DeSales 53-43 in Dundee on Tuesday evening. Dundee used a 15-8 run in the second quarter to take control of this contest. Ryan Ballard scored 19 points to key this league win for the Scots. Dylan Hastings added 14 points for Dundee (5-1,3-1).

South Seneca 58

Dundee traveled to South Seneca on Saturday to play the Lakesiders in a make-up of Friday’s postponement. Unfortunately for the local hoopsters, South Seneca controlled this contest from the outset. South Seneca defeated Dundee 58-43.

Hastings and Justin Schenck were Dundee’s top scorers with eight points each. Dundee’s record drops to 3-2 in the Finger Lakes West. They are 5-2 overall.

Waterloo 54

Marcus Whitman 39

In other boys basketball action, Waterloo defeated Marcus Whitman 54-39 in Rushville on Tuesday night. The visiting Indians outscored their hosts 38-24 in the middle two quarters to seal the win.

Tyler Stell scored eight points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead the Wildcats (2-4,1-2).

Scotsman #31 Ryan Ballard drives hard to the basket but then fakes out the Desales player by stopping short of the basket. He then waits for the Saints player to go by and does a short drop shot.
