Scotsmen crush Bolivar-Richburg 63-0 in Section V Class D quarterfinal game

The No.1 seeded Dundee Scotsmen took their first step Saturday on the road to defending their Class D Section V Title with an easy 63-0 over the #8 seed Bolivar-Richburg Class D quarterfinal game in Dundee.

The Scotsmen flexed their football muscle early in this contest rolling to a 41-0 lead after one half. 

With this 63-0 drubbing, Dundee improved their record to 7-0.  They  exploded for 527 yards in total offense and held their overmatched  Southern Tier guest to just 51 yards. 

This opening game gridiron spanking was led by the Dundee’s talented Steven Webb. He rushed for 220 yards on 12 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns on runs of 38 and 40 yards. 

Also scoring rushing touchdowns  for Dundee were Jeffrey Mullins and Joe Tortolon on runs of six yards and one yard. 

Dundee quarterback Tom Pratt III also had a huge day offensively.  He completed nine of 13 passes for 139 yards and had three touchdown tosses to Ryan Ballard of 42, 12, and two yards and a 20 yard scoring strike to Dustyn Thompson.

Ryan Ballard rushed for 54 yards, caught five passes for 75 more yards, and also tossed a 24-yard bomb to Kyle Spinks. 

To round out the scoring for the Scotsmen, Katie Zebrowski kicked one extra point, Ryan Ballard accounted for six more extra points on passes from Tommy Pratt. 

Jesse Jayne also added a safety in the Dundee rout of Bolivar. 

Dundee advances to the Class D semifinals this Saturday at Marina Auto Stadium (formerly Paetec Park) in Rochester.  The No. 1 seed Scotsmen will take on No. 4 Cuba-Rushford at 4 p.m.  The winner of this contest will play for the Class D championship Oct. 29  against the winner of No. 3 York and No. 2 Notre Dame Batavia.
