Dundee Scots open track season with wins

The Dundee Scots track and field teams opened their 2011 schedule on April 12 on a winning note.  

The Dundee boy’s team downed Bloomfield 93-31 and Romulus 87-38.

The Scotsmen were paced by individual wins by Jordan Cady in the 200 and triple jump, Greg Ellison 100, Nate Shipkowitz 800, MacKenzie Stone 1600, Andrew Davis and Ricky Davis in the 3200, Justin Brace in the 400 hurdles and long jump, and Tyler Carruthers in the discus.

The Scotsmen relay teams — 4x100, 4x 400, and 4 x 800 —also recorded first place finishes.

The Dundee Lady Scots lost to Bloomfield 78-55, but defeated Romulus on Tuesday afternoon. Noileen Wheaton, 100, Katie Zebrowski, 400, Krishna Janosky, 800, Sam Sprague, long jump, and Kim Wagner, discus recorded first place finishes for Dundee in Tuesday’s opener.
