Scots improve to 3-2 with OT win over Saints

Dundee sophomore running back Colin Prior ran for 162 yards and four touchdowns on 17 carries in a 26-20 overtime victory over the DeSales Saints at Geneva’s Loman Field.

Dundee trailed 20-12 in the fourth quarter before tying the game and entering overtime. Prior’s final touchdown run was for 13 yards, and proved to be the game winning touchdown.

On defense for the Scots, senior Max Gorton made 11 tackles, eight of which were solo tackles and five of which were for loss. He was selected as the Section V Class D Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts.

Dundee now looks ahead to another road game, with this one played under the Friday night lights of Clyde-Savannah.

Clyde-Savannah is 3-2 on the year, and riding a three-game winning streak after stumbling out of the gate at 0-2. Clyde-Savannah lost 27-13 against DeSales, and 28-20 against Marcus Whitman, but beat South Seneca 34-21, Mynderse 22-7, and Lyons 14-12.

With the win, Dundee is 3-2, while DeSales drops to 3-2.
