Boys Basketball: Dundee beats Marcus Whitman to win Tournament

Dundee’s # 21 Max Gorton comes down with an offensive rebound.

The Dundee Scots defeated the Marcus Whitman Wildcats 60-47 Dec. 3 to win the Dundee Sports Boosters Tip-off Tournament.

Dundee senior Brandon Camacho earned Most Valuable Player Honors for the tournament by adding 27 point against Marcus Whitman to put his points per game average at 26.5. Sophomore Justin brace was also named to the All-Tournament team with 17 points in the championship. Juniors Aksel Jensen and John Kissell both had five points for Dundee.

Wildcats Daniel Clark and Rhen Grover had 17 and 11 points to lead Marcus Whitman in scoring for the night. The Wildcats defeated Romulus in the semifinals to advance to the finals.

Dundee starts their season undefeated with a record of 2-0.
