The Dundee Boys' Basketball team stumbled in the first game following their Dundee Tournament win with a 71-57 loss to DeSales on December 6th.

Dundee began the game losing 16-3, but scored 14 unanswered points to end the first quarter leading 17-16. Dundee managed to maintain their lead over the second quarter and went into halftime with a 30-26 lead. DeSales outscored Dundee 45-27 in the second half to finish the night with the 14 point win.

Dundee senior Brandon Camacho scored a team high 23 points, while sophomore Justin Brace added ten points. Homecoming king Max Gorton finished the night with eight points for the Scotsmen.

"Our kids worked hard in the second half but we lost our defensive fundamentals" said Dundee head coach Les Miller. Miller went on to cite the major difference between the two squads being the free throw shooting. DeSales converted 19 of 26 attempts while Dundee only managed to bury seven of their 16 tries. "The 12 point difference was huge. We look forward to getting another crack at them." Dundee plays DeSales again in Geneva on January 18th.

Dundee's record drops to 2-1 with their first loss of the year.
