PY Baseball: Mustangs beat Mynderse, Palmyra-Macedon

The Penn Yan Boys Baseball team played Mynderse, Palmyra-Macedon, and Newark last week.

The Mustangs beat Mynderse 8-4 on May 7. Mustang freshman Lukas Larham struck out nine in 5 and 2/3 innings of work. Mustang sophomore Derek Sisson and senior Elliot Eckerson both scored twice for Penn Yan.

Two days later, Penn Yan beat Pal-Mac 4-0. Eckerson threw a one-hit shutout, giving up a lone single to Jon Krest in the second inning. Mustang sophomore John Martisch had an RBI and two doubles.

The next night, Penn Yan played Newark. No information was submitted at press time.

As of May 10, Penn Yan's record was 11-3.
