Covell named MSC Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year

PYA alumna Jessica Covell, previously awarded the NAIA Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in her college lacrosse career, has now been named the Mid-South Women's Lacrosse Conference (MSC) Defensive Player of the Year.

Penn Yan Academy alumna Jessica Covell, who was named the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' (NAIA) Defensive Player of the Week for the second time earlier this month, has been named the Mid-South Women's Lacrosse Conference (MSC) Defensive Player of the Year.

Covell plays goalie for the Keiser University Seahawks in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who went undefeated this season and recently won the MSC Women's Lacrosse Championship against the also undefeated University of the Cumberlands.

Covell has also been named the MSC Defensive Player of the Week six times and Keiser University's Defensive Player of the Week six times during her career with the college.
