Makowski opened the season with a career-high eight saves in Keuka College’s loss to SUNY Brockport. Makowski and the Wolves responded in a big way: The Green and Gold defeated Keystone College 3-0 with Makowski making 12 saves for her second career shutout and victory.

At press time, Megan Makowski was tied for second in the conference in total saves, holds the early lead in save percentage, and is one of three goalies in the Empire 8 to record a shutout this season.

Makowski and the Wolves will remain on the road for their next two games. Keuka College had a midweek test at Union College last Wednesday. The Green and Gold then opened Empire 8 play, traveling to Houghton College to face the Highlanders on Sept. 11.
