Mustang girls place second in Class C bowling tournament
The Penn Yan Mustang girl's bowling team almost pulled off an upset in the Section V Class C tournament held last week at the AMF Lanes in Gates. The Orange and Blue bowlers entered the tournament as the fifth seed. But the team bowled extremely well, and almost brought home another Section V trophy. Penn Yan ended the day with 4,352 total pins, just 20 behind the eventual champion, Wayne. Courtney Ottaviano had an aggregate score of 989 pins. She was the second highest individual bowler at the tournament.
The Mustang bowling program continues to be one of the best in Section V. Congratulations to the Orange and Blue keglers and to Coach Mindy Johnson on their outstanding achievements. The Boy's Section V tournament will be held Feb. 23.
