The Penn Yan Mustang girl's basketball squad traveled down Route 14A Monday evening to take on their Yates County neighbor in a non-league game. For the second time this season, Dundee defeated Penn Yan.

In a closely contested game, the hometown Scots defeated Penn Yan 48-38. Dundee moved out to a 9 point advantage midway through the 3rd quarter and appeared to be taking control. But Penn Yan went on a 8-0 run to cut the lead to just one. Dundee scored the final 4 points of the quarter to lead the game 33-28 after 3 quarters.

Penn Yan cut the lead to just 3 points in the quarter, but that would be as close as they would get. Dundee scored late to pull away to the 10-point victory. Both teams shot well from the foul line. Penn Yan made 7 of 8 and the victorious Scots converted 15 of 16.

With the win, Dundee improves their record to 8-1 while Penn Yan falls to 1-8 overall.
