The Penn Yan Mustang boy's basketball team traveled to Dundee Monday evening for a Yates County hardwood showdown against the talented Dundee Scots. On the line was the roundball bragging rights. Both teams entered the game with just 2 losses. Penn Yan and Dundee each are battling for Finger Lakes League titles. The stage was set for a big basketball night.

The two talented teams battled throughout this non-league contest, but it would be the hometown Scots night to brag. They eased away in the second half, and defeated their Route 14A visitors 57-46.

Jarrett Butler enjoyed a huge night in the scoring column for Dundee. He racked up 24 points to lead the determined Scots in scoring. Teammate Geordan Conyers added 15 points. Junior Tanner Irwin tallied 14 points to lead the Mustangs. Ben Covert added 12 points.

Up next for Dundee (7-2) will be a Finger Lakes West trip to Romulus Tuesday evening and a home game against Honeoye Thursday evening. Penn Yan (7-3) will host Newark Friday evening with first place in the Finger Lakes East on the line.
