Mustangs fall to Geneva 74-58

The February weather continues to remain on the chilly side, and so has the Penn Yan Mustang boy's basketball offense.

The Orange and Blue cagers, after playing on a torrid pace during the first half of the season, continued their struggles in the second half dropping a 74-58 decision to Geneva on the road Friday night. The loss drops their overall record to 9-6.

With the Section V tournament rapidly approaching in a couple of weeks, the Mustangs hope to get back to their successful, winning ways soon. They play another critical game with a very tough Pal-Mac team Tuesday evening at home.

Leading the Mustangs in scoring on Friday night's game versus Geneva was Ben Covert with 16 points and Tanner Irwin with 13.
