First round action starts this week.

For the local boy's programs, Dundee and Penn Yan will both see action in the coming week. The Dundee Scots, after enjoying a very successful regular season winning 15 out 18 games, captured a #4 seed in the Section V C-2 tourney. The Scotsmen will entertain Finger Lakes West rival Red Jacket #13 Tuesday evening in Dundee. The Scots defeated Red Jacket twice during the regular season, winning 52-30 in Shortsville in January and prevailing 70-60 in Dundee a couple of weeks ago.

Penn Yan Boy's

The Penn Yan Mustangs will open their 2015 Tourney ride Friday in Palmyra against Pal-Mac. The Red Raiders earned a #4 seed with their 11-7 record while Penn Yan (11-8) come into Friday's game as the #5 seed. The Orange and Blue cagers dropped two games to their Finger Lakes East opponents during the regular season. They lost 65-59 in Palmyra in January and fell to the Red Raiders 59-52 in Penn Yan in February. Both games were hard fought and evenly matched. Penn Yan is hoping that the third time will be the charm for them. Experts will tell you, it is very hard to beat an opponent three times in one season. This opening round rematch between two evenly matched team will be exciting. Penn Yan's season has been some what of a roller coaster ride.
