Girl's Basketball: Dundee Scots cruise to 61-45 victory in quarterfinal game against Canisteo-Greenwood

The Dundee Scots girl's basketball team are at the top of their game.The No. 1 seed Dundee five entertained the Canisteo-Greenwood Redskin girls in a Section V Class C-2 game Saturday afternoon in Dundee. The Scots quickly showed why they are considered the best team in the class. The Dundee cagers rolled to a huge 24-7 lead after the first 8 minutes. This included a 16-0 run where Dundee seemed to score at will. They padded their lead to 20 (35-15) at the half and cruised the rest of the way to the easy victory.

The deadly efficient Dundee offense was paced by the hot shooting Demi Battin. The sharpshooting Scot tallied 24 points to pace the Maroon and White attack. Her scoring total included five 3-pointers. Megan Howell added 12 points,and Brooke Howell accounted for 8 points. It was a nice, total team effort for this talented young lady basketball team from Dundee.

The win improved Dundee's season mark to 18-2. They continue their pursuit of a Section V title Tuesday evening. The #1 Scots will play the winner of the Letchworth vs. South Seneca game. This Class C-2 semi-final game will be played at Honeoye Falls/Lima High School at 8 p.m.
