Boy's Basketball: Mustangs and Scots win Tuesday night

Penn Yan 48 Waterloo 35

The Penn Yan Mustang boy's basketball team got back on the winning track Feb. 7 in Waterloo. Penn Yan defeated the host Indians 48-35 to pick up their 4th Finger Lakes East win of the season. This was the third time this season Penn Yan has defeated Waterloo. The Mustangs improved their overall record to 9-9 and 4-8 in Finger Lakes East play with two games remaining in the regular season.

Desmond Battin led the Mustangs in scoring with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Dylan Stape added 10 points and 8 rebounds.

Dundee 60 Romulus 57

In a nip and tuck Finger Lakes West battle played in Romulus Feb. 6, the Scotsmen from Dundee defeated the hometown Warriors 60-57. Dundee led 33-28 at the half. Romulus pulled to within 2 points with less than a minute to play, but Dundee held on for the 3-point win. The Scots improve to 9-6 in the Finger Lakes West and are 12-6 overall with the Section V tournament looming on the horizon.

Bobby Strait once again led the Scots in scoring with 16 points. Kyle Cratsley and Wylie Hall added 12 points each to the winning Dundee numbers.
