Mustang boys end regular season with a win

Penn Yan 60 Pal-Mac 44

The Penn Yan Mustang boy's basketball regular season reached its conclusion Tuesday evening in Penn Yan. The Mustangs ended the regular schedule on a high note. They defeated Pal-Mac 60-44 in a Finger Lakes East contest to improve their league mark to 6-8. They are 11-9 overall. Up next for the Penn Yan cagers, the Section V Class B tournament.

Desmond Battin had a superb night offensively for the Mustangs. He tallied 25 points to pace the orange and Blue offense. Dylan Stape added 15 points. 

Bloomfield 63 Dundee 57

The Dundee Scotsmen boy's basketball team traveled to Bloomfield Feb. 14 evening for a Finger Lakes West showdown with the Bombers. Bloomfield jumped out to a 35-26 lead at the half and held on for a 63-57 victory over the Scots. The loss dropped Dundee's record in the FL West to 9-7. they are 12-7 overall. Bobby Strait topped the Scotsmen scoring sheet with 19 points. The Scots host Red Jacket tonight in their final game.

Naples 50 Marcus Whitman 49

The Marcus Whitman Wildcat girl's basketball team dropped a 50-49 decision to the Big Green from Naples Feb. 14 in Gorham. Jordyn Chappelle led the Wildcats with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Emily Thompson tossed in 12 points and added 9 boards. Maddie Ryan chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds for Whitman.

Red Jacket 59 Dundee 29

The Dundee Scot girl's basketball team dropped a 59-29 decision to Red Jacket in Manchester Feb. 14. Megan Sutherland led the Dundee team in scoring with 14 points. Madison Neu added 5 points and 8 rebounds.
