High School Bowling: Dundee, Marcus Whitman keglers open new season

The Dundee Scot and Marcus Whitman bowling teams opened their 2017-18 season Nov. 21.

Dundee boys 4 Naples 0

The Dundee boys jumped off on the right foot with a 4-0 win over Naples. The Scots garnered 2545 total pins to the Big Green’s 1638. Dundee’s Colin Goodman led the way with a 578 series. He also rolled a game-high 215.

Naples girls 4 Dundee 0

The Dundee girls fell to Naples 4-0. The Big Green girl’s team tallied 1750 total pins to Dundee’s 1491. Erika Gould was Dundee’s top scorer with a 319 series. She rolled games of 142 and 145.

Marcus Whitman boys 3 Wayne 1

The Marcus Whitman Wildcats traveled to Ontario Center to take on Wayne Nov. 21. The Whitman boys defeated the hometown Eagle bowlers 3-1. The Wildcats piled up 1035 total pins in game one enroute a 2752 aggregate score. Wayne finished with 2618 total pins. Zach Payne paced the Wildcats with a 661 series including single games of 241 and 236. Dominic Mangiarelli recorded a game-high effort of 246. Josh LaBarr added a 234 single game.

The Whitman girls fell to Wayne 4-0. Destiny Raft was Whitman’s top bowler rolling a 397 series (165).
