Dundee Scotsmen Track & Field win Wayne-Finger Lakes meet

The Penn Yan Mustang, Marcus Whitman Wildcat, and Dundee Scot track and field teams competed in the season ending Wayne Finger Lakes League Championship hosted by Mynderse Academy Saturday.

In the boy's meet, the Dundee Scotsmen finished in first place overall, scoring 100 team points besting second place Clyde-Savannah by 14 points. The Penn Yan Mustangs finished in 12th place with 26 points and the Wildcats of Marcus Whitman came in 16 place with 18 team points.

Individually, Penn Yan's Andrew Davis finished in 3rd place in the 1,600 and 3,200 events. Davis won the 3,00 steeplechase with a 9:53.78 time. The Dundee Scot 4 x 100 relay team of Conyers, Huber, Cramer, and Salvatore took first place with a :44.72 time. Dundee's Cody Salvatore and Cole Hartman finished 1st and 2nd in the triple jump. Also for the Scots, Geordan Conyers and Cody Salvatore came in 2nd and 3rd in the long jump event. Lance Irwin registered a second place finish in shot put. Rounding out the successful day for Dundee, Jovhannie Andrades finished 3rd in the discus event and Brennan Krall grabbed a second place finish in the pole vault.

In the girl's meet, the Marcus Whitman team finished in 8th place with 41 points, Dundee 19th with 11 points, and Penn Yan 21st with 4.33 points. Individually, Whitman's Audrey Button finished in second place in the 3,000 run and 2nd place in the 2,000 steeplechase event.
