St. Michael School Turkey Trot keeps them running

Thanksgiving morning in Penn Yan began with an enthusiastic group of more than 500 runners and walkers who helped raise funds to support St. Michael School in the sixth annual Turkey Trot.

Runners of all ages took to Keuka Street for the start of the 5K run at 8:30 a.m. A 1/4 mile 10 & Under Fun Run is also held for the younger crowd. First to cross the finish line was Jacob Hauss in 17.55.42 followed by Ben DeMoras in 18:03.98.

The Turkey Trot Food Drive collected canned food with each donor receiving a raffle ticket for chances to win prizes.

St. Michael School provides a Christian-centered, values-based learning environment for students of all economic, racial and spiritual backgrounds, supported by a program of academic excellence.
