Sylvia J. DeMay, 84, of Keuka Park, N.Y., passed away September 29, 2022.

Sylvia was born on February 21, 1938, in Sodus, N.Y., the daughter of the late Thomas and Gertrude (Clingerman) Smith. She worked as a Teacher’s Aide with Pre-K students for the Penn Yan Central School District. She was a member of the Bluff Point United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star.

Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, Howard L. DeMay; and her brother, Thomas Smith III. She is survived by her children, Daniel T. DeMay (Becki), Lorraine J. DeMay; two grandchildren, Jacob DeMay and Taylor DeMay; and sister-in-law, Diane Smith of Williamson, N.Y.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bluff Point United Methodist Church on November 5, 2022, at 11 a.m.; a reception will be announced. She will be interred at the Oak Knoll Cemetery in Keuka Park.
