Douglas M. Braman, 66, of Penn Yan, N.Y. passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Doug was born in Penn Yan on December 7, 1955, the son of the ltrong Memorial Hospitalate Elford and June Braman. He served in the US Air Force from 1974 to 1976. He married Darlene Stokoe in Penn Yan on April 28, 1979. Doug worked as a NYSEG Lineman for 32 years until his retirement in 2012. An avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman, Doug was a life member of Seneca Duck Hunters Club and a member of Lyons Rod and Gun Club, Penn Yan Moose Club, and Penn Yan American Legion Post 355
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Darlene (Stokoe) Braman; sons Justin and Jason(Jill) Braman; brothers Brad (LeeAnn) Braman, Kyle Braman (Ralph Padilla), and Neal (Amy) Braman; brothers-in-law Mark (Colleen) Stokoe and Glenn Applebee; grandchildren Rosalie, Nora, and Joanna Braman; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his great-nephew Weston Runions; father-in-law Bill Stokoe; and sister-in-law Deb Applebee.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Club in July 2023. We wish to extend our appreciation to our family and friends for their love and support.
