Pauline Armstrong, 91, of Branchport passed away March 30, 2023, at Penn Yan Manor. Pauline was born on June 26, 1931, in Pickens, S.C., the daughter of Larry and Norma Thomas and twin sister of Pearline. She married Robert C. Armstrong on January 22, 1955, and together they raised four children. Pauline loved working in her flower beds, and was especially fond of her rose bushes. Pauline spent most of her time making quilts.

Pauline and Bob enjoyed traveling together, and spending three months every year in North Carolina with Pauline’s family. Pauline was predeceased by her parents; daughter Pamela Armstrong; brothers Arthur, Lloyd and Larry; and sister Josie and twin Pearline. Pauline is survived by her husband and their children, Terry (Shawn) Armstrong of Leesburg, S.C.; Sandra (Dave) Smith of Penn Yan, and Hilary (Bill) Culver of Bluff Point; brothers and sisters, Bobby Thomas of Rosman, N.C., Cecil Thomas of Sugar Grove, Va., Frances Cody of Saluda, N.C., and Hilda Barton of Cedar Mountain, N.C.; also seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. There are no prior calling hours.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, April 4 at 12 p.m. at Branchport United Methodist Church followed by burial at Branchport Cemetery and a reception at the church. Donations in her memory may be made to Branchport United Methodist Church.
