May 3, the former owners of the Showboat Motel on Seneca Lake, Mark Cronin and Matt Collins, donated $5,280 to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit. For years The Showboat Motel has been “home base” for K9 teams and trainers during the Annual Yates County Sheriff’s Office K9 Seminar. Sheriff Ron Spike thanked Cronin for the donation, which will be used in support of training, equipment, and operations for the handlers and their K9 partners. Accepting the donation from Cronin is Sheriff Spike and members of the K9 Unit, Deputy Brandon Jensen, Deputy Chad Betts and Sgt. Seth Skelly. Provided
