Lidija was born on November 30, 1923, in Liepaja, Latvia. She emigrated to the United States in 1950, first living in New York City and then relocating to the Finger Lakes.

She was a resident of Penn Yan for close to 60 years. She is dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Ed Pahwul, of Howard Beach, N.Y.

Lidija was predeceased by her parents, Jekabs and Lize Puce; a brother, Laimons; and her husband, Oskars.
