David M. Bogue, 81, of Penn Yan passed away September 26, 2022.

The family received friends and relatives at Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St., Penn Yan on Saturday, October 1, from 1-3 p.m.; followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home and interment at Lakeview Cemetery.

David was born in Penn Yan, the son of the late Clare and Eleanor Bogue. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carol (Horton) Bogue; three children, Maureen Bogue of San Francisco, Calif., Mindy Bogue (Tim Tabron) of Drexel Hill, Pa., and Patrick (Sherry) Bogue, of Lafayette, Ind.; brother, Gary Bogue of Rochester, N.Y.; and one grandson, Adam Bogue of Lafayette.

From a very young age, David was known to have a green thumb for growing! David owned Torrey Grove Gardens and Nursery in Penn Yan, where he raised and sold plants, flowers, trees and grape vines. He had a passion and great knowledge for American History.
