Books & Bikes Fest Kicks Off Summer Fun

PENN YAN -- Saturday, June 24 will see the sixth annual Books & Bikes Fest take place at Penn Yan Public Library. Kids are invited to bring their bikes, trikes, and scooters to ride in the library’s parking lot, which will be closed to cars. There will be free books, bike helmets, snacks, bike decorations, and surprises. The Penn Yan Police Department will be on hand to make sure kids’ new helmets fit properly, and new this year, families can enter to win a free Empire Pass courtesy of the Friends of Penn Yan Public Library. An Empire Pass gives free admission to New York State Parks for one vehicle.

These include: • Lake Water Sampling (each month – April thru October) The first sampling occurred on Wednesday April 26th and will continue each month through October.
