PENN YAN - Community based Yoga has moved back indoors for the season and to the Yates County Community Center. Classes are held Saturday mornings at 9 a.m., taught beginner to intermediate, and are open for all to join.

At Lakeview Cemetery Nov. 17, 110 sixth graders from Penn Yan Middle School assisted Veterans in removing grave marker flags before the winter season.

Penn Yan Lions Club had its 53rd Charter Night Awards ceremony Saturday evening, October 22, 2022 at the Seasons Restaurant at the Hampton Inn. From le, John Wagner, Uplinger Distinguished Service; Judy Jones, 2021-22 Past President award; Sarah Purdy, Club Service award as Bulletin Editor; Jaime Sisson, 2020-21 Past President award, and the Melvin Jones Fellow award; Cheryl Sheehan, Spirit of Lionism award, JJ Covell and Ed Pinneo as Vice Presidents of the Yates County Fair Board the recipient of the Clubs Community Service Award for 2022; Ronald Miller, Lion of the Year; and Doug Gibbs, Merit award.

High winds couldn’t keep spirits down on an otherwise gorgeous day for Penn Yan’s Fall Festival, which was held downtown on the afternoon of November 5. Hundreds came out to enjoy the sunny skies and the many vendors and activities that were lined up on Main Street between Jacob Street and Water Street.

Leopold is a 3-year-old Boxer/Pitty mix. This playful guy is a bundle of fun and loves his Humans.
