Penn Yan ‘Trunk or Treat’ a huge success!

PENN YAN – The Downtown Business Council of Penn Yan (DBC) was pleased to present our village with their second annual Trunk or Treat Festival, held Oct. 22. Last year’s Trunk or Treat featured 42 trunks, and welcomed over 600 attendees, mostly from Yates County. This year, the DBC registered 32 trunks, and attendance tripled to an estimated 2,000 participants! Attendees were ‘charmed’ by dancing witches from the Penn Yan American Legion, and dance music was provided by DJ Cory from Finger Lakes Entertainment.

Enjoy Penn Yan ‘Fall Festival’ Nov. 5

PENN YAN - Clear your calendars for this coming Saturday, Nov. 5! The Downtown Business Council of Penn Yan (DBC) is proud to present its second annual “Fall Festival,” on Main Street in downtown Penn Yan from 11 a.m.to 5 p.m., rain or shine! This is a free event for all ages and Main Street will be closed, so there are no worries about safety.

FFA Cider Day

PENN YAN -- The Penn Yan FFA hosted their annual Cider Day for the Penn Yan Elementary School Thursday Oct. 6, Classes were invited down the hill to Penn Yan Academy and participated in six different stations run by Penn Yan FFA and Ag students.

Penn Yan Goes Pink for First Friday

Downtown Penn Yan has a special celebration the first Friday of every month. Select businesses with red balloons stay open until 8 p.m. as people eat, drink shop and relax as they enjoy the charming downtown atmosphere and all it has to offer. October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, downtown Penn Yan went pink for First Friday! Restaurants offered “pink” specials and donated proceeds to the cause.
