Greenidge sends 99.5% of electricity production to local power grid during heat wave

DRESDEN – During last week's heat wave, Greenidge Generation sent 99.5% of the electrical power they generated at the Dresden power plant to the local electrical grid to meet the high demand. Greenidge began increasing the amount of power it provides to the local grid at the beginning of the week, providing 88% of available power to the local grid on Monday and Tuesday, and increased power to the grid to 99.5% of capacity on Wednesday.
