June Workshops at Cobblestone Springs

DUNDEE - As summer gets underway, Cobblestone Springs Retreat Center near Dundee is offering several classes and programs to help exercise your creativity. The popular Native American-style flute program and watercolor workshops with Kristin Malone are returning this month, as well as one-day programs on forests and plant-based cooking.

Public Universal Friend Topic of YCHC Talk

PENN YAN – The Public Universal Friend and the Friend’s followers were the first non-native group to permanently settle the area that is now Yates County. The story of the Public Universal Friend still reverberates throughout history, more than 200 years after the Friend’s death. You can explore the history of the Friend with Yates County History Center Executive Director & Curator Tricia Noel through a presentation titled “A Good Name Chosen: The Public Universal Friend in Early America” on Saturday, June 10 at 11 a.m.
