Lions Christmas fun returns!

PENN YAN - For the first time since 2019, the Penn Yan Lions Club served as Santa’s helpers to share holiday fun with children from the Penn Yan Head Start program. The festivities began with a wagon ride through Penn Yan from their school to the United Methodist Church Fellowship hall, where Santa’s workshop materialized thanks to the work of several Penn Yan Lions.

YCSO ‘No Shave November’ to Hope Walk

PENN YAN - The Yates County Sheriff’s Office has donated their ‘No Shave November’ fundraiser returns to toward local cancer awareness and assistance. “This is the second year for us to raise funds for the Yates County Hope Walk’s cancer efforts,” said Sheriff Ron Spike, “The YCSO local Council 82 union units for Law Enforcement, Corrections/Others, 911 Dispatchers, and administration participated for the month of November.
