YCSO ‘No Shave November’ to Hope Walk

PENN YAN - The Yates County Sheriff’s Office has donated their ‘No Shave November’ fundraiser returns to toward local cancer awareness and assistance. “This is the second year for us to raise funds for the Yates County Hope Walk’s cancer efforts,” said Sheriff Ron Spike, “The YCSO local Council 82 union units for Law Enforcement, Corrections/Others, 911 Dispatchers, and administration participated for the month of November.

It’s the thought that counts

As I start to peck out this column, the snow we want for Christmas is finally arriving. I’m almost finished decorating our Christmas tree, which was a delight to secure in a brand new well-engineered tree stand, and an ease to hang lights because last year I avoided tangling the strings before packing them away. There are still gifts to buy and wrap, packages to send, bells to ring, festivities to plan and attend, and treats to create, but luckily, I still have some time.
