SENECA – The N.Y. State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has completed an enforcement action against New England Waste Services of N.Y. Inc., Casella Waste Services of Ontario LLC, and Ontario County to address several years of violations at the Ontario County Landfill on Rte. 5&20 in the town of Seneca. As part of a recent consent order, the facility owner and operators will pay a $500,000 civil penalty for violating the State Environmental Conservation Law and are required to implement comprehensive corrective actions to help prevent future violations at the facility.

YATES COUNTY -- The Dresden Methodist Church First Aid Closet needs your help. As we are recovering from COVID, items borrowed during 2020 and 2021 have not been coming back after they are no longer needed.
