Community Table Dinner raises $10K for PYTCo.

PENN YAN – On the evening of Sept. 10, over 160 people gathered for a communal farm-to-table dinner on the Main Street Bridge in Penn Yan. The concept was initially started in 2019, making this the 2nd Annual Community Table Dinner. The Community Table Dinner fundraiser donated $10,000 to this year’s chosen beneficiary, Penn Yan Theatre Company (PYTCo). The funds will be used toward their major renovations of the Sampson Theatre.

‘108 Holes for Hearts’ – A Hole-in-One!

The second annual Finger Lakes Health Foundation’s virtual 108 Holes for Hearts golf challenge was a huge success, raising more than $22,000 for Finger Lakes Health (FLH) cardiology services, programs, and patient financial aid. FLH offers local, world-class, comprehensive cardiology care, including non-invasive diagnostics, treatment and education, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Drug Take Back Oct. 29

Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Yates County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
