The 20th annual observance of Sunshine Week was held March 16-22. While it has nothing to do with climate or seasons, Sunshine Week is a time to recognize the importance of viewing information in the open, something that is critical to democracy.
Repeatedly in this column over the past six years, ever since the approval in 2019 of the all-Democrat climate agenda known as the "Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act" (CLCPA), I have shared warnings – my own and those of many others – that New York State is going too far, too fast. In their response to Milo's rejection of the Old Route 14A annexation, the Penn Yan Trustees and Planning Board failed to reflect on their own failures in advancing this important proposal. I am a neighbor of the proposed annexation and wrote a letter tentatively supporting it, yet my letter also highlighted the poor quality of the information provided to citizens.
It's not just vaccines. Every drug available to Americans has undergone rigorous testing and review.
