SIOUX FALLS, SD - Penn Yan's own Caitlin Wunder was instrumental in bringing NCAA East Division II volleyball champs the Bentley University Falcons into the Division II national semifinals for the first time in the program's history, helping her team win their 5-set match over the tournament's #1 seed, the Ferris State Bulldogs. The Falcons entered the national tournament as the #8 seed.

The Winter sports season is set to kick off, with teams beginning their practices and their first games over the last two weeks. Penn Yan Academy held their Winter Media Night last Monday, allowing their teams the opportunity to interact with local media agencies, attend the regular pre-season lectures, and get their team and individual pictures taken.

FINGER LAKES - Following the Penn Yan/Dundee Scottish Mustangs' perfect championship season in their first year in the Wayne-Finger Lakes Independent League, the team was honored with several awards at a special ceremony Nov. 10 at Club 86 in Geneva.
Nov. 15 Wayne-Finger Lakes Independent League Championship at Seneca Falls Penn Yan/Dundee 50, Pal-Mac 42 The Penn Yan/Dundee Scottish Mustangs ended the 2024 season with a perfect record and a league title.
