PYA alum goes to NCAA Semifinals

SIOUX FALLS, SD - Penn Yan's own Caitlin Wunder was instrumental in bringing NCAA East Division II volleyball champs the Bentley University Falcons into the Division II national semifinals for the first time in the program's history, helping her team win their 5-set match over the tournament's #1 seed, the Ferris State Bulldogs. The Falcons entered the national tournament as the #8 seed.

SPORTS ROUNDUP PYA Winter Media Night

The Winter sports season is set to kick off, with teams beginning their practices and their first games over the last two weeks. Penn Yan Academy held their Winter Media Night last Monday, allowing their teams the opportunity to interact with local media agencies, attend the regular pre-season lectures, and get their team and individual pictures taken.

Hikers, nature photographers, leaf peepers, mountain bikers, hunters, and trappers are encouraged to follow safety measures while afield.
