The Village of Penn Yan broke ground Monday on the Lake Street Park as the largest part of its Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant public projects. Mayor Dan Condella had the honor of wielding the shovel on the site of the recently removed playground.
PENN YAN - On the 250th anniversary of "The shot heard 'round the world" that began the fight in the American Revolution against Great Britain's King George III, hundreds of peaceful protesters in Penn Yan raised their voices against the recent actions of President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk. Ranging in age from children in strollers to some retirees in their 90s, the protest began Saturday afternoon on the busy corners of Liberty and Elm Streets.

The HEART Act would repeal New York's ban on multi-listing, allowing patients to register at multiple transplant centers simultaneously and improving access to life-saving organs for low-income New Yorkers.
