Penn Yan Diner seeks community support for historic preservation grant

PENN YAN — The beloved Penn Yan Diner, a treasured local landmark and cultural touchstone of the Finger Lakes since 1925, is calling on supporters far and wide to help secure critical funding for its reconstruction following a devastating fire in 2024. Last week, the Village of Penn Yan Planning Board officially approved plans for the diner's rebuild, marking a major milestone in restoring the beloved and award-winning diner.

Keuka College Commencement includes a special surprise

KEUKA PARK — Saturday's overcast skies were no match for the sunny smiles of some 350 newly minted Keuka College graduates as the College held its 116th Commencement ceremony. Cheered on by some 2,000 friends and family members, graduates in more than two dozen of the College's bachelor's and master's programs walked the stage in a day filled with pride, celebration, gratitude, and one very special surprise.
