OUTDOORS Winter pheasant release at Hi Tor

YATES COUNTY - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced new late-season pheasant stocking to enhance hunting opportunities in DEC's Region 8. Over the last two weeks, approximately 670 additional adult ring-necked pheasants were released on public lands open to hunting in Yates, Steuben, Ontario, Chemung, and Livingston Counties.

YATES COUNTY CRIMINAL COURT Two women plead guilty for deaths of children

PENN YAN - In two unrelated cases appearing before Judge MacKenzie Stutzman in Yates County Criminal Court, two women have plead guilty for the deaths of two young children.
