The Board of the Dundee Area United Fund is pleased to announce that it has exceeded this year’s goal of $26,000. and will soon be making a distribution of 120% ($31,200) to the 11 participating agencies. Leopold is a 3-year-old Boxer/ Pitty mix. He was brought to the Shelter by Animal Control after being abandoned. This playful guy is a bundle of fun and loves his Humans. He is not very fond of cats, however. Leopold is neutered and microchipped.

The Penn Yan Rotary Club was pleased to honor Madaline Smith as Student of the Month on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at The Wagner Restaurant in Penn Yan. For many of the months in each school year, the club honors an outstanding Penn Yan student who demonstrates The Rotary Four Way Test, which values truth, fairness, and beneficial actions which build goodwill and friendships. Madaline’s mother, Beth, joined Madaline for her celebration lunch and presentation.

Bob & Jen Mosich, of Penn Yan, and LeeAnn & Jim Podgorney, of Johnstown, Pa., are proud to announce the engagement of their children, Dr. Amanda Mosich and Officer Dave Podgorney. Amanda is a practicing veterinarian and Dave is a police officer both in northern Pa., where they reside with their multiple “fur babies.” A February 2024 wedding is being planned.
