Week #4 Pollinator Bracket

There are only two weeks left of the 2023 Pollinator Bracket Tournament! After winning the most votes from Week #2, the Painted Lady Butterfly and Oblique Streaktail Hoverfly will challenge each other. Whoever receives the most votes will go head-to-head against the Andrena Mining Bee during the final round starting April 3.

Torrey breaks ground for Water District #1

TORREY – After a quarter of a century of disappointment, disagreement, and delays, the Town of Torrey first public water district has begun construction. March 21, Town officials were joined by U.S. Dept. of Agriculture representatives at Serenity Road for a formal groundbreaking of Torrey’s Water District #1. This project will benefit residents by providing potable water and volume to residents and businesses within the project area in the northeast corner of the town along Rte. 14, including Albany, Boston, Caton, Serenity, and Davy Roads down to residences on Seneca Lake.

LNB’s 2022 earnings another record

FINGER LAKES - Strong year-over-year growth in both loans and deposits resulted in Lyons Bancorp Inc., the parent financial holding company for The Lyons National Bank, reporting another year of record earnings for 2022. Lyons Bancorp earned $17.2 million in 2022, an 11% increase from the $15.5 million reported in 2021. On a per diluted share basis, earnings were $4.86 as compared to $4.62 last year. As a result of the Company’s common stock Shareholders’ Rights Offering in the third quarter of 2021, the Company had approximately 250 thousand more shares outstanding throughout all of 2022.
