Celebrate Service… Celebrate Yates April 23

- Non-profits within Yates County should register online by March 27 at www.keuka.edu/cscy to receive volunteers on the Day of Service YATES COUNTY — The 24th installment of the community-improvement initiative Celebrate Service… Celebrate Yates (CSCY) will be held on Sunday, April 23. Organized by a team from Keuka College and the Yates County Chamber of Commerce, along with community members, CSCY is a day of volunteering to help a variety of non-profit organizations, agencies, and citizens throughout Yates County.

Petroleum spill in Seneca Lake

GENEVA — The City of Geneva was notified of a spill of materials into the north end of Seneca Lake March 4. The N.Y. State Dept. of Environmental Conservation (DEC) was notified of a possible petroleum spill impacting Seneca Lake in the Geneva area at about 5 p.m.

Please donate pet food to Pet Partner Connections during March at your church or any of pet food donation sites at Lyons Bank, Knapp & Schlappi, and the Black Cat Café. Pet Partner Connections provides pet food and support to pet owners who, due to age, disability, or other issue may need help to keep their pets at home.
