Branchport Methodist While Pastor Kim was on vacation this week to see her son graduate from college, we were happy to have Rob Heselton and Marcie Weichman lead us in worship. Rob’s message was based on “trust and obey” - from Mary’s trust that she would carry God’s son to our need to trust that God is with us every day.

Yates County Public Health wants you and your family to be safe from rabies. Rabies is fatal, but it is 100% preventable! If you or your pet has contact with a wild animal, there is a chance that the animal could spread the rabies virus. Animals most likely to carry rabies are raccoons, bats, skunks, and foxes.

Keuka united in 114th Commencement

KEUKA PARK — It had been a while since Keuka College’s entire graduating class was able to collect their diplomas at a single ceremony, but that changed Saturday as the College held its 114th Commencement, a return to the single-ceremony celebrations sidelined over the past few years by pandemic-related public safety precautions.

Veterans’ memorial flag volunteers needed May 24

PENN YAN – Due to scheduling conflicts, the date for placement of Veterans’ grave memorial flags in Lakeside Cemetery has been changed to 24 May at 9 a.m. Penn Yan Middle School 6th graders will be helping the Penn Yan American Legion again this year, but more volunteers are needed to make the work lighter. Please meet Greg Disbrow near the Court St. entrance of the cemetery.

Opening day at The Windmill

YATES COUNTY -- Opening day was extra special this year at The Windmill Farm and Craft Market. Several area officials and representatives from The Yates County Chamber of Commerce recently participated in a dedication ceremony unlike any observed in over 25 years.
